Empowering Black Future Leaders: A Journey of Representation and Inspiration
In 2018, I embarked on a quest to identify 277 out of 21,356 Black headteachers in the UK, driven by a desire for representation and a connection to those paving the way in education (new list pending).
Fast forward to a recent half term, where I stumbled upon the transformative book, “Letter to a Young Generation.” Authored by the inspiring Amanda Wilson, this literary breathed new life into my purpose, urging Black future leaders to embrace boldness and courage on their journey towards headship.
Wilson’s book provided a roadmap for success, offering invaluable insights that resonated deeply during my break. The book serves as a beacon, guiding aspiring leaders along the path to headship and instilling a renewed sense of purpose within the Black community.
